Where do you begin in making a decision on your style home and how do you know that you have made the right choice?

If you would like to prevent yourself from becoming so over-whelmed you just don't know where to start,

Consider this step "Wisely"!

There are so many different HOME STYLES to choose from. On one hand some are so archaic that you feel as if you went back in time a few centuries, where others are so modernistic they near the realm of...

... "space age". And then there are all those other styles in between.

The type of style home you choose to build should reflect the essence of who you are in order that both you, your family and your home become synonymous with the other. Once this has been achieved...

...a feeling of great comfort will greet each one of you every time you walk over your threshold.

A very easy way to choose your style home, is to close your eyes and imagine the place where you would most like to live if given a choice to live anywhere in the world. Picture in your mind where it would be:

Did you say Rome? Consider "Greek Revival" and other "Neo-Classical" styles.

How about the South of France? A French Country or French Mediterranean style home is quite relaxing and beautiful.

Spain? Look towards the "Spanish" influence.

Italy? There is Italian Renaissance or Italianate, or even Tuscan.

Cancun? Now, this could be fun! Think of sandy beaches and Reggae.

England? English Tudor and English Country are very popular today.

New England? Colonials, Saltboxes, Cape Cods, and shores; you can almost hear the ocean.

The Deep South? Think of Georgian Style Home, Tara and Scarlet O'Hara.

Arizona or New Mexico? Southwest architecture is quite popular anywhere in the country.

How about into the Future? Futuristic may be the style for you—as for resale value—a lender must also like the style.

To help you choose your style of home write down as many answers as you can for the following questions.

If given a choice to live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

What do you like most about the place that you have chosen?

What do you like about the culture and lifestyles of the people?

What do is it that you like about the land? The trees, the flowers, the topography?

What do you like about the homes in the region? List as many answers as you can and be very specific.

The best thing for to do, once you have chosen a home's style, is to find out everything there is to know about that style. Then search out where all your resources for building ideas and products will come from.
